Walk Between Worlds

This page is part of an evolving collection of writings, images, and reflections that explore memory, identity, ceremony, and the spaces where cultures, histories, and generations meet.

Echoes of Our Ancestors Where Memory Lives

Echoes of Our Ancestors… Where Memory Lives
We do not inherit memory.
We return to it.
It waits—
not in monuments,
 nor in books alone,
 but in the quiet sanctuaries
where the land still remembers our names.
Between one generation
and the next,
 there exists a path
 that cannot always be seen.
It is walked with prayer.
It is moved by our song.
It is spoken in languages
 that survive because someone
 refused to forget.
I have witnessed that service
begins by listening.
Listening to elders.
Listening to children.
Listening to rivers.
Listening to the stories
 the earth has been sharing
 long before we arrived.
There are places
where history was and is written.
And there are places
where history still breathes.
Standing Rock taught the world
that water is not simply a resource—
it is our relationship.
A bridge to what exists
between Grandfather Sky
and Grandmother Earth.
Ceremony is not performance—
it is remembrance.
Community is not only something we build—
 it is what we become.
We never walk alone.
Every step, we are carried by those
 who walked before us.
Every act of kindness
 becomes a trail
for someone we may never meet.
So we continue—
between memory and hope,
 between sorrow and joy,
 between what has been lost
 and what still waits
to be remembered.
We walk between worlds,
 until we are one.
We remember.

The Fire Is Still Being Tended

Every story begins before we arrive.

Every story continues after we leave.

This website is opening quietly—like the first gathering around a morning fire.

In the weeks ahead, new pages will appear, new voices will be added, forgotten histories will be remembered, and new works of art and film will find their place here.

Thank you for walking beside us during these first steps.

May what you discover here encourage you to listen more deeply, remember more fully, and carry something meaningful into your own journey.
